I think this is the last of my summer sewing that I have not shared. My daughter likes to wear it two different ways. First featured is her casual style with the belt.
Then there is her dressier church version with a peasant tunic. Red sparkly shoes are a must either way. =D
The top in this picture is the Marie Madeline Studio Amelia top. I like the sash element to the top. I shirred the neckline so it's a little looser than the pattern. Once washed it drew up nicely. A great pattern to have in your stash as it is a basic peasant pattern.

The cover has their cute model wearing a dress but the pattern actually offers dress, tunic and top options. You can find the pattern here!
I have been sewing this week. Some knits and some wovens and I am trying to get up the courage to cut into my velours. Oh they are so soft! SO soft! But of course they are discontinued so I hyperventilate every time I go to cut them. I might start out with my least favorite. Wait, I like all of them. Oh my! Anyway I will try to get up the nerve to cut them so I can show you more.
Pictures of the new things to come! I just need to have a moment with my daughter to take pictures so I can share. Yay!

No hyperventilating allowed. Making room for the new fabric is an important part of the process. :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute and I would never have guessed that was the pattern you used for the top. Yours looks different! So good to see how others work a pattern.
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute!
ReplyDeleteAvery still crams her foot in her red sparkly shoes that are at least 2 sizes too small! What is it about those shoes?!? Can't wait to see those velours. I know it will be amazing!
ReplyDeleteDarling! I really like the first look with the belt.:)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing, Jenny! Abiah says your girl looks like Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz" with those great sparkly shoes. *smile*
ReplyDeleteMuch love, hugs, and kisses!!
